From January 24 to January 26, 2018, the delegation of the Precarpathian Eco-Energy Cluster visited the partner cluster of ArchEnerg International Innovative Cluster of Renewable Energy and Building Trade in Seged, Hungary, within the framework of the EaP Plus Cluster Grant Scheme project.
ArchEnerg, certified as an “Accredited Innovation cluster”, has 80 companies and has been successfully operating for 11 years. ArchEnerg is the award-winning honored with most prestigious award in the world – the Golden Label. That is why, for our young cluster, cooperation and the opportunity to learn the experience of such an organization is an invaluable push for development, especially looking at the similarity of the economic and social conditions of the two neighboring countries – Ukraine and Hungary with a separation of 11 years.
ArchEnerg was created in 2007 to launch an economic and social model based on renewable energy and energy efficiency that would help clean businesses and society move towards a more sustainable future. The main task of the cluster is to support its members participating in strategic industries. This includes infrastructure development, lobbying, marketing, and promotion their products and services. It is also aimed at raising public awareness of renewable energy and energy efficiency
The purpose of the visit of the delegation of PEEC is to introduce the Ukrainian cluster and to familiarize with the organizational structure of the partner Hungarian cluster. Also, during the meeting, ArchEnerg demonstrated the most successful projects, with particular emphasis on international cooperation, management and coordination. A separate part of the visit was dedicated to acquaintance with business participants who are interested in the Ukrainian market and cooperation with Ukrainian companies. The proximity to the border and the prospects for launching new business development directions are of particular interest for complementary technological areas, which are represented in both clusters.
Innovative projects and projects for young people at the University of Szeged, a member of the ArchEnerg cluster, at the Faculty of Engineering, were impressive, namely the international competition in racing cars made up by students from different countries and educational institutions and, for example, a more in-depth project – research and purification of groundwater, etc.
We are glad to confirm that the visit turned out to be extremely interesting and informative, and the most important Precarpathian eco-energy cluster with ArchEnerg international innovation cluster for renewable energy and building trade have signed a memorandum of cooperation, so expect the news about our new joint activities 🙂
